Who we are

UniSolar Power Private Limited

We design, supply and install rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems for homes, businesses and institutions across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.

  • The UniSolar Power – Go Solar mobile app, if you install it to monitor a system we have commissioned.
  • During a site visit or installation, including details of your premises and your electricity connection.

We do not collect more than we need for these purposes, and we do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

04

Our basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit an enquiry, and, once you become a customer, to perform the contract between us and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Submitting an enquiry form means you are asking us to contact you about solar for your property. You can tell us to stop at any time — see section 08.

05

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers who run our systems on our instructions — Meta Platforms (which hosts the lead forms), Zapier and Google (which move enquiries into our internal records), and our email and telephony providers.
  • Our installation and engineering partners, where a partner is carrying out your survey, installation or service, and only the details needed for that work.
  • Your electricity distribution company (DISCOM) and the relevant government portals, including the PM Surya Ghar portal, where you ask us to apply for net metering or a subsidy on your behalf.
  • Equipment manufacturers, where a warranty claim has to be registered in your name.
  • Authorities, where we are required by law to disclose information.
06

Cookies and advertising measurement

Our website uses only the cookies and local storage needed to make pages work — remembering the state of a form or a calculator while you are on the page. We do not use cookies to profile you.

Where we run advertising on Facebook, Instagram or Google, those platforms may place their own measurement tags on our campaign landing pages so we can see how many people who clicked an advertisement went on to enquire. These tags report conversions in aggregate; we do not use them to build advertising profiles of individuals, and we do not pass your enquiry details back into them for retargeting.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can limit ad personalisation in your Facebook, Instagram or Google account settings. Blocking them does not stop you using our site or submitting an enquiry.

07

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become orders: up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which we delete them.
  • Customer records: for the life of your system's warranty and service obligations, and for as long afterwards as tax and company law requires.
  • If you withdraw consent: we stop contacting you immediately and delete your enquiry data, keeping only what we are legally obliged to retain.
08

Your rights, and how to use them

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or completed if it is wrong, to have it erased, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

To withdraw consent or stop hearing from us, do any one of the following. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and you do not have to give a reason.

We act on these within 7 working days.

09

How we protect your data

Enquiry data is held in access-controlled accounts limited to the staff who need it. Connections to our systems are encrypted in transit. We review who has access when people join or leave. If a breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as required.

10

Children

Our services are for property owners and decision makers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child's data has reached us, contact us and we will delete it.

11

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing enquiries or customers will be communicated directly.
